Would you like to help create warm and welcoming dinners where people of all ages can meet, share a good meal, and enjoy each other’s company? Every Wednesday, we invite the local community to join us at Kildevæld Kulturcenter for a cozy evening of food, conversation, and connection.As a volunteer host, you help set the stage for these evenings by welcoming the guests, supporting with the practical tasks, and making sure that everyone feels comfortable and included. Your role as a host:<ul><li>Help prepare the space: set the tables, light candles, and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.</li><li>Welcome the guests, help them find their seats, and support a friendly, relaxed mood.</li><li>Assist with small practical tasks during the evening, such as refilling water jugs, helping with serving, and clearing the tables.</li><li>Help with tidying up after the dinner.</li><li>Be part of the host team together with Camila, Julie, and other volunteers.</li></ul> Who are we looking for?<ul><li>You enjoy meeting people of all ages and creating a friendly and inclusive space.</li><li>You are kind, reliable, and ready to help with the practical tasks.</li><li>You speak Danish (required) – if you also speak other languages, that’s a great bonus.</li><li>You are reasonably mobile, as the task involves setting tables, serving, and clearing up.</li></ul> What you get in return:<ul><li>A shared meal together with the guests and your fellow hosts.</li><li>The chance to contribute to the atmosphere and bring your own ideas to future community dinners.</li><li>Experience as a host in a diverse local community, with focus on meaningful conversations and connection.</li><li>A supportive and welcoming host team where we help each other and have a good time together.</li></ul> Practical information:<ul><li>The community dinner takes place every Wednesday at Kildevæld Kulturcenter.</li><li>The dinner is usually held indoors, but during the summer we sometimes open the doors to the garden.</li><li>We make sure you get a proper introduction and everything you need to feel ready and confident in your role.</li><li>Breaks are included during your shift, and we provide food and drinks for all hosts.</li></ul> Would you like to join us? We meet every Wednesday for communal dining in our cultural center.The menu is decided a month in advance and will almost always have a vegetarian focus.When we can, we spice up the meal with some culture in the form of shows, lectures, or something else entirely.Come and join us to meet your neighbor and enjoy a good and nourishing meal.
