Become a Volunteer at Copenhagen Photo Festival 2025

This year, Copenhagen Photo Festival’s former festival center at Refshaleøen will be transformed into our new VÆKST Center – an area dedicated to innovation, creativity and emerging photographic artists who are making their way into the world of photography. This transformation is part of the festival’s expansion, as our new festival center moves into the heart of Copenhagen – specifically The Royal Danish Theatre’s Old Stage.

As a volunteer, you’ll play an important role in shaping the experience we create for our visitors. You’ll be part of the uplifting, creative, and inspiring space we aim to build, and you’ll be involved when we exhibit works from our selected FUTURES 2025 talents, Nordic talents, and a range of photography schools from across the Nordic region. The VÆKST Center will also serve as the setting for a selection of creative and innovative performances, events, and installations by selected artists and performers inspired by photography and its world.

This year, the festival takes place at three different locations, each with its own unique character and atmosphere. This location – the VÆKST Center – is the festival’s hub for everything new and ‘up and coming’. You can read more about the other locations in their respective event descriptions on the portal.

As a volunteer at our VÆKST Center, your tasks may include:

• Production assistant (setting up and taking down exhibitions and festival decor)
• Host at the info point, bar, and merchandise stand
• Exhibition and event host in the unique surroundings of Refshaleøen
